No 32 - COMPOUND FEED FOR DAIRY SHEEP AND GOATS

INTRODUCTION

VIOZOKAT SA, in collaboration with animal nutritionists, developed a new series of compound feeds for sheep and goats. The aim of the new products is to help animals maintain high health status and increased productivity of high quality products with lower cost.

The concept of developing the new products is based on the principle of "precision feeding”. According to the latter principle, ruminant nutrition should focus on providing nutrients in such quantities and ratios that are able to maximize the efficiency of rumen microorganisms and the digestibility of feeds.

The special compound feed No32 is designed for dairy sheep and goats. Contains trace elements in chelated form (Keragen®) and protected selenium (Se^protect) that are highly absorped.

RECOMMENDED USE

This special compound feed is suitable for dairy sheep and goats as complementary feed to their basic ration (alfalfa hay, straws, etc). Two months before the expected parturition the compound feed should be given in increasing quantities, ensuring the normal transition from dry period to lactation.

MILKING EWES:

700-750 g/animal/day per litre of produced milk

MILKING GOATS:

500-550 g/animal/day per litre of produced milk

SHEEP AND GOATS DURING PREGNANCY:

400-500 g/animal/day two months before parturition and gradual increase to 700-800 g/animal/day one week before birth.

Any change of feed must be done progressively in 5 - 7 days.

PHYSICAL COMPOSITION

Maize, soybean meal genetically modified, wheat bran, sunflower meal, alfalfa meal, cotton pulp, beet molasses, calcium carbonate, mono-calcium phosphate, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, premix of vitamins and minerals. The production process involves heat treatment with Hygienizer, which enables the destruction of pathogens that might be present in raw materials (e.g. brucella melitensis, Salmonella, etc.) and hence, safeguarding animal health.
