No 33 - COMPOUND FEED FOR LAMBS AND KIDS GROWER (STARTER) HIGH YIELDING BREEDS

INTRODUCTION

VIOZOKAT SA, in collaboration with animal nutritionists, developed a new series of compound feeds for sheep and goats. The aim of the new products is to help animals maintain high health status and increased productivity of high quality products with lower  cost.

The concept of developing the new products is based on the principle of "precision feeding”. According to the latter principle, ruminant nutrition should focus on providing nutrients in such quantities and ratios that are able to maximize the efficiency of rumen microorganisms and the digestibility of feeds.

The starter feed No33 is designed for young lambs and goats. It should be given from the second week of life (in combination with meadow hay, good quality alfalfa or other forages). It is an ideal “starter feed” for young lambs and kids that contains raw materials with high nutritional value, such as milk powder. Its palatability ensures the smooth transition from liquid diet to dry feeding. Contains trace elements in chelated form (Keragen®) and protected selenium (Se^protect) that are highly absorbed.

RECOMMENDED USE

Should be offered either ad libitum or in amounts of 3-3.5% of weight until the day of slaughter; 6-8 we­eks old.

LAMB AND KIDS FOR FATTENING - REPLACEMENT:
Should be offered in amount of 2.5-3% of animal weight up to 25 days of age.

Any change of feed must be done progressively in 5 - 7 days.

PHYSICAL COMPOSITION

Maize, soybean meal genetically modified, barley, wheat bran, sunflower meal, alfalfa meal, skill milk powder, beet molasses, calcium carbonate, mono-calcium phosphate, sodium chloride, premix of vitamins and minerals. The production process involves heat treatment with Hygienizer, which enables the destruction of pathogens that might be present in raw materials (e.g. brucella melitensis, Salmonella, etc.) and hence, safeguarding animal health.
