No 36 - SPECIAL COMPOUND FEED FOR REPLACEMENT LAMBS AND KIDS FROM WEANING UNTIL MATING

INTRODUCTION

VIOZOKAT SA, in collaboration with nutritional scientists, developed a new series of compound feeds for sheep and goats. The aim of the new products is to help animals maintain high health status and increased productivity. The ultimate goal is to ensure production of high quality products with lower production costs.

The concept of developing the new products is based on the principle of "precision feeding”. According to the latter principle, ruminant nutrition should focus on providing nutrients in such quantities and ratios that are able to maximize the efficiency of rumen microorganisms and the digestibility of feeds.

The special compound feed Νο36 is designed for replacement animals (growing lambs and kids) from weaning until their first mating. Contains trace elements in chelated form (Keragen®) and protected selenium (Se^protect) that are highly absorped.

RECOMMENDED USE

Suitable for growing lambs and kids, which are kept as replacement animals. It should be offered in combination with their basic ration (alfalfa hay, wheat straw, etc.) from weaning until their first mating.

LAMBS AND KIDS: In amounts approximately 1,5-2% of their body weight.

Any change of feed must be done progressively in 5 - 7 days.

PHYSICAL COMPOSITION

Maize, soybean meal genetically modified, barley, wheat bran, sunflower meal, alfalfa meal, cotton pulp, beet molasses, calcium carbonate, mono-calcium phosphate, sodium chloride, premix of vitamins and minerals. The production process involves heat treatment with Hygienizer, which enables the destruction of pathogens that might be present in raw materials (e.g. brucella melitensis, Salmonella, etc.) and hence, safeguarding animal health.
